The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
